Welcome to the week before the Australian Open!!  We're leaving a packed week full of anxious AO contenders. 

A hearty Congratulations to The ATP Cup champs Canada (and Shirley our resident Canuck)!  The non-controversial tennis gang was in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide.  And we're only leaving Melbourne for a hot second before we're back next week for the AO.

This is the 4th edition of the tourney.

This is a combined WTA and ATP tournament, which replaces the Hobart International for the women and the ATP Auckland Open for the men because of the ongoing Covid pandemic.

UMPHERSTON SINKHOLE - Adelaide (or the Sunken Garden)
A peculiar garden built in the remnants of a cave, where the ceiling collapsed due to limestone corrosion and created a sinkhole. James Umpherston beautified the sinkhole in 1886 with the intent to create a “pleasant resort in the heat of summer” for the people of Mount Gambier.
