The artist, Patricia Hobson, said she saw the sun rising behind the Moravian Church in the historical Old Salem Moravian Village in North Carolina and was inspired as she glimpsed through the window one of the ladies preparing the bread to be baked for that day.

Unusual for a 250 tournament, this tourney has a draw of 48 with 16 seeds.

Seeds (in order of seeding): Grigor Dimitrov, Botic van de Zandschulp, Holger Rune, Maxime Cressy, Lorenzo Musetti, Nikoloz Basilashvili, Sebastian Baez, Albert Ramos-Vinolas, Emil Ruusuvuori, Benjamin Bonzi, Ilya Ivashka, Pedro Martinez, Jack Draper, Lorenzo Sonego, Jaume Munar, Joao Sousa

Although it is not surprising to see several withdrawals the week before the USO, 9 seems like a lot. They include: Bublik (with a good reason – he is a new dad), Carreno Busta, Nakashima, Paul, Tiafoe. Rune and Baez were late withdrawals and were replaced by lucky losers.

This year the tourney was upgraded from an ITF tournament. It is also a mixed event, along with an ATP Challenger.

Granby is also known for The Granby International Classic Car show.  It is one of the largest car shows in Canada.  Here is a classic 1959 Buick Electra 225. It was a whopping 18 3/4 feet long!!
