Welcome to the 2nd week post US Open. The buzz is still strong surrounding the darling of this year's US Open - "CinderEmma" - Emma Raducanu the Women's Champion. And not only in the Tennis press, but major news and social media.

The appearance of more than a few Tennis names  at this year's Met Gala in NYC added glamour and fashion to the Tennis buzz. Has Tennis and its personalities and celebrity officially crossed over into mainstream media? We shall see ....

Meanwhile on tennis earth, we travel to Europe and Central Europe for three events. The women headline a WTA 500 in Ostrava, Czech Republic, while the men compete in two ATP 250s in France and Kazakhstan.

And for ATP star power, invited men will participate in Roger Federer's baby - The Laver Cup - for 3 days this weekend hosted by the famous venue TD Gardens in Boston, Massachusetts.

We're "Shipping Up to Boston" - So let's get to it!.

We're finally through the US Open 2021 and what a Slam this was to behold.  Record-breaking on the Women's side. The WTA is refreshed and we all need some refreshment after a horrid one and a half years of Pandemic life and still counting. Few will forget two teenagers - Brit Qualifier Emma Raducanu - Winner, nor the RUP Canadian Leylah Fernandez!

On the Men's side, it was a full plate of new faces too, and like the Women, many knowns and heretofore unknowns jumping up the rankings in a fortnight.

I.JUST.CAN'T talk about the Final.  Clearly you all watched it. There was a record to be broken, alas, not to be this year.  Sincere Congratulations to Daniil Medvedev, Titleist, and of course, RUP Novak Djokovic.

One thing I can say, tennis fans and MCM will not forget this year's Open (if they do, they're casual fans, that's ok too)!  Tennis moves on quickly, and today we have a week of 2 WTA 250s - so let's get to it!
