Getting ready for RG (part two)

ATP Parma, Belgrade; WTA Strasbourg

      ................................................MESSAGE ALERT........................................................

Look Ma no Maps.  Well dear there is always Professor Google  who has all kinds of Maps.

Queue mournful music 🎵🎵🎵       It is with a sad and heavy heart that we advise that our erstwhile, irreverent, Faradubii has retired from the position of Match Calling Migrants' editor and administrator.  Basically he is sick of us all........Just kidding .....  sorta.......Can we offer him a pay raise ya think?

Don't worry you will still see

You will still get links to some divine classical music, and you will still read Fara's very graphic blankety, blank, blank adjectives and wait - come on, anyone here expect him to be quiet?  😏

What will change?   Well to put it succinctly guys and gals we will, moving forward, get a vanilla thread - uhmmmm basically straight up no chasers (the chasers being all those beautiful pics that can be quite time consuming to research then adapt.  No pictures, no analysis just the space for you all to post and give your analysis. Hey you guys are good at giving analysis.

JoJo and I are happy to continue to  provide the space for us to interact over a sport we all love.

Thank you Fara for being the leader that you are.  I know you are not going anywhere because you know Jo and I will hunt you down - we know people who know people.  Just check your mail to make sure there is not a big HELP message waiting for you.

After all that let's see what we have for next week - the final prep for Roland Garros.

ATP:  Emilia-Romagna Open, Parma

Seeds: Sonego, Paire, Ramos-Vinolas, Struff, Gasquet, Paul, Bedene and Nishioka. There are eight Italians in the draw, including recent hero Sonego and the exciting youngster, Musetti. Several American players are trying their hand on clay – Querrey, Giron, Johnson, Paul and Tiafoe. This is the first time Parma, in northern Italy, will host an ATP Tour event.

ATP:  Serbia Open, Belgrade

Seeds: Djokovic, Monfils, Basilashvili, Mannarino, Lajovic, Krajinovic, Kecmanovic and Delbonis. As you’d expect, there are several Serbs taking part, seven in all, although Djere was a late withdrawal. In addition to the two seeded French players, Chardy and Pouille are in the draw. Unfortunately Anduhar has withdrawn with an adductor injury.

WTA: Internationaux De Strasbourg

Svitolina, the defending champ, is not taking part this year.

Seeds: Andreescu, Pegula, Alexandrova, Putintseva, Krejcikova, Zhang, Rogers and Linette. Venus was the last direct acceptance, at No. 102. Not surprisingly, the two wildcards went to French players – Burel and Tan. There are just two other French women in the draw – Cornet and Garcia.

C19 still is a thing, still menacing and crappy, so the coda will stay:
