On Four Continents

WTA Adelaide; ATP Cordoba, Montpellier, Singapore

OK, AO was a success, let's see how the normal touring resumes! Vaccines are rolling out all over the world so maybe, maybe we can be a bit optimistic? In any case the men move out of Australia for a bunch of ATP 250s and back to the various bubbles/quarantine protocols each country has to offer. The women stay one more week in Australia for a pretty juicy WTA 500.

Adelaide International

South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute

WTA 500 outdoor HC. It's a very short draw: 28 women, top four seeds having byes. Some of the ladies in the top that had a less than stellar AO are here. Barty, Bencic, Konta, Mertens have byes. Swiatek, Martic, Putintseva, Wang (Q) complete the seeds list. Who else stayed down under? Well... Collins v Zheng, Stosur, Sevastova v Garcia, Mladenovic, Kudermetova, Tomljanovic. It's a pretty good draw.

That's it for the women. Onto the men.

Cordoba Open

Centro Civico

This ATP 250 is the opening for the Golden Swing - the South American clay season. So yeah... it's on clay, outdoor. 28 players draw, so the top four seeds have byes: Schwartzman, Paire, Kecmanovic, Pella. The other four seeds are ARV, Koepfer, Monteiro, Delbonis. Yeah, pretty weak sauce. Delbonis is #80. Can I at least recognize some others? Ha! Cecchinato and a pair of Sousas. And of course Thiago Seyboth Wild!

Open Sud de France, Montpellier

L'Arbre Blanc - so yes, in Montpellier you can live in a tree

Another ATP 250, but this time indoor HC. You know it already, 28 players, 4 seeds have byes: RBA, Goffin, Lajovic, Hurkacz. The other four seeds are Sinner, Humbert, Sonego, Struff. Way better than in Argentina. Who else is in France? Basilashvili, Murray, Simon, Tsonga, Pouille. Not bad.

David Goffin

Singapore Tennis Open

Old Hill Street Police Station - Now, to be honest, I have no clue what is old... The hill? The street, the station or the police?

The third ATP 250 on the third continent. Like in France, we're on HC indoor. The guys with byes are Mannarino, Millman, Cilic and Bublik. The other four seeds are Nishioka, Albot, Harris and Kwon. Turns out this one is the weakest sauce of the week. Kwon is #97. Wait! WAAAAAIT! The Goat is here! This is obviously GS level now. And there's that Duckworth guy too.

C19 still is a thing, awful and shit so the coda will stay:
