Roland Garros, 2nd week

Championnats Internationaux de France de Tennis

Six more days to go. Weather was not good to pretty bad, but thanks to floodlights and the new roof, we barely saw postponed or interrupted matches. Let's hope for better weather.

Jardin des Tuileries

The women's draw has 3 seeds left: Svitolina[3], Kenin[4] and Kvitova[7]. And maybe Jabeur[30] manages to hang in there too. The men are more reliable, 6 seeds already through: Djokovic[1], Nadal[2], Thiem[3], The Tsi[5], Schwartzman[12], Rublev[13] and the 7th is well on his way right now: PCB[17] (yep, he did). The odd man out? Sinner.

OOP - This will not be updated daily probably.

Iga Świątek - fabulous tournament from start to finish

Rafael Nadal - Lucky (aaahahahahhahaa) 13th

Timea Babos/Kiki Mladenovic - Defending a GS? Easy peasy.

Kevin Krawietz/Andreas Mies - Successful defending Roland Garros champions!
(in random order)

And the unfortunate coda again:
  • Daily youtube update with the scientific side of the fight against covid-19 , explained in pretty intelligible terms. (That links to a playlist, just click on the freshest clip. Or you know... get really into it from the beginning.)
