ATP Winston-Salem; WTA Bronx

So we're closing fast to the final GS of the year: USO. It's the last week and both tours take it easy, with a WTA International and an ATP 250. Even the few big names in those draws decided on a no show. Understandably. They're still playing in the qualies and we can expect more withdrawals, but here's where we're at:

NYJTL Bronx Open, New York

The Bronx Zoo
The women return to the Bronx (after more than ten years), tournament that replaces the Quebec WTA International. There were some big names entered (Kvitova even asked for a WC but later withdrew), but in the end we're left with Wang (#17) as a top seed. It's a 30 players draw with the top two seeds having a bye. Aside from the Chinese here are the other 7 seeds: Strycova, Zhang, Siniakova, Zheng, Putintseva, Tomljanovic, Sasnovich. Three Americans got WCs in the main draw: Vandeweghe, Pera and Ahn. Also in here Buzarnescu, Giorgi, Petkovic, AVU, Hercog.

Winston-Salem Open

The men go all the way to North Carolina. 64 in the draw, top seed is #29 so it's kinda weaker than what we got in the Bronx. The 16 seeds (no byes this time): Paire, The Shap, Hurkacz, Sousa, Evans, Querrey, Sonego, Krajinovic, ARV, The Tiaf, PCB, Ruud, Millman, Kecmanovic, Humbert, Lopez. Murray and Berdych got WCs like The Shap and The Tiaf. Also in here Copil, Cecchinato, Johnson, Rublev.
