It's not quite spring. Am not sure my azaleas agree with the not quite spring line because they are doing what flowers do in warm weather - bloom! On the ladies side Iga Swiatek has fully bloomed. Her final against Elena Rybakina was, I thought, a classic battle. First time I am saying that and while Grigor Dimitrov did not make the finals this past week we can be generous and say that he is indeed a late bloomer while Carlos Alcaraz - well am sure he will continue to bloom probably more in fits and starts? Ha! Let me not forget a bona fide bloomer Jannick Sinner. The whole garden analogy of course is about potential. We have so many players with enormous talent and potential and from whom we expect a whole lot of blossoming versus stunted growth........Yeah we still have those 3 amigos and one lady (in my mind anyway) in our subconscious - Sigh!
